Outfit Diaries: Nautical Nights

We had such a brilliant holiday in the Algarve last week, we spent the first few nights in Lagos and the rest in Vilamoura. It was so nice to relax and spend some proper time with my hubby before our little baba arrives in October 🙂  I will be sharing a full ‘Holiday Style’ post (hopefully this week), but first, I wanted to share pictures of one of my fav holiday looks, this nautical inspired maxi dress from Chicwish.
The moment this maxi dress arrived, I knew before I even tried it on that I loved it!! The print, the fabric, the long tie detail (wow) , the low cut front, the fabric… It was perfect! A maxi dress is one of my ‘must have’ holiday buys, they are just so easy and versatile!
This isn’t a maternity dress, but it was the perfect style and shape for my growing belly! But I love that I’ll be able to wear this again on my holidays when I am not pregnant. Chicwish have a fantastic range of maxi dresses, I could have bought so many but it was the nautical stripes of this one that stole my heart (I’m a sucker for stripes!!)

I ADORE the exaggerated long tie on the neck of this maxi dress, it is what makes it really unique, I just knotted it behind my neck and let it hang loose, but you can also wrap it around your waist either. View the dress HERE to see the ways you can wear it.
Another thing I loved about this maxi dress is the length, it can be hard to get one that is long enough!! i wore it with flat sandals (see them here) but it’s long enough that I could have worn it with wedges like these ones from River Island.

Things to note when ordering from Chicwish

I’ve ordered quite a few items from Chicwish over the past few months, including this midi skirt and this dress. And there are a couple of things I always get emails about so I thought it was best to share my experience here:

  • Delivery can take up to 3 weeks. But there are options to pay for quicker delivery. view those options here
  • I have never been charged customs on any delivery from Chicwish, if you get charged, please contact Chicwish and they will reimburse these costs. View their policy here
  • As regards sizes, be sure to check the size guide here I went for an ‘M’ in this maxi dress and it was perfect (I am a size 10)

The sunnies I am wearing here are Chanel, I got them in Keensight Opticians here in Dublin, but you can view them on the Chanel site here. I also included a link below to a version that are really similar from River Island 🙂
Hope you’ve enjoyed
‘Til next time
