Sleigh Through Christmas In Style

Christmas Day is always a tricky one to dress for. I’m usually curled up on the couch for most of the day but PJs are a no-no until family and friends have visited.

For me, Christmas jumpers are the perfect way to sleigh Christmas day. They’re comfy, cosy and oh-so-stylish when paired with a midi skirt or faux leather trousers.

Our Favourites Faux Furs

Its that tine of year; dark, cold evenings are creeping in, the festive season is getting closer and closer and the perfect time to take out your faux fur coat. Season after season the faux fur coat comes back and this year I think more than ever!

I actually bought this one last year and I’m getting my second year out of it and it’s still as good as new, and so so soft! Oh, and it’s half price at the moment!

Shop my faux fur HERE It’s now reduced to €60

I opted for cream, it goes with everything, But this year faux fur is everywhere and in so many colours, from rich navy to emerald green, and even bright pink for the braver among us! I’ve rounded up some of my favourites below 🙂

How To Wear… The Sequins Skirt

There is no escaping sequins once this time of years comes around. Year in year out, it always comes back. And thankfully so! I love sequins, I really do..BUT … A little, for me, goes a long way!!

One of my all time favourite looks, is sequins skirts styled with knitwear.

Shop My Look

Jumper: & Other Stories, shop here

Skirt: Next, Shop here (almost sold out online)

Heels: Jimmy Choo

It’s such a stylish, effortless and easy way to wear your sequins skirt. It’s glam, dressy and elegant without being too dressy either, or too ‘OTT’! Gorgeous for Christmas Day outfit, for a festive lunch with the gals, or any occasion where you want to glam, but the dress code isn’t overly dressy!

Style Inspo

Take some inspo from these ladies on how to style and nail the look. Simple is key..

The Skirt

There are lots of this style skirt in stores and online now. Here are some of my top picks (Simply click on any of the images below to be brought to that item)

The Knitwear

Some basic knits to create the perfect winter glam look. You can opt for fine knits or chunky knits depending on your personal taste, both style work well. To finish the look, I myself opted for classic pointy toe nude heels; you could wear strappy sandals or sock boots with the look either.

When it comes to fine knits, this cash million jumper from M&S is a great fine, I have it in 3 colours, it comes in 13 different colours in total, it’s €20 but looks so much more expensive and washes great. Shop here

Other great knitwear buys include;

The Look

A quick look I’ve styled from the pieces included above! I adore this outfit!

Wedding Wednesday: Classic Veil Alternatives

To veil or not to veil, that is the question…well at least for me it is. 🙂

Let’s face it, when it comes to classic wedding accessories, veils will always be on-trend. I’ve always had a little obsession with veils. They are a timeless and iconic piece of wedding attire and each one has their own story to tell.

I’m getting married in 10 months and even though I always pictured myself wearing a veil, I know for sure a classic cathedral veil isn’t right for my dress so now I’m researching alternative options.

If you do want to replace a veil with a gorgeous alternative, keep scrolling for some really stunning ideas I’ve come across.

Hair Comb & Statement Earrings

I came across a brand called Twigs and Honey on Instagram and I immediately fell in love with their products. Their bridal range is pricey but keep in mind that all of their products are hand made AND Black Friday is just around the corner. 😉

Crown or Tiara

Your wedding day is the perfect occasion to justify wearing a dramatic crown. 🙂 It’s truly a stunning alternative to a veil and a modern take on the timeless vintage crown.

Vine

What I love about Bridal Vines is their versatility and how one product can be worn in so many different ways. Vines can be worn as a headband or entwined in any hairstyle from buns to ponytails to plaits, allowing each bride to style them in their own personal way. Check out the below images for one vine styled four different ways.

Cape

If you want Superhero status on your wedding day, ditch the veil in favour of a cape. Capes may not be groundbreaking but according to Harpers Bazaar, they’re set to be a huge trend for 2020.

Scrunchy

Scrunchies don’t sound like the most traditional or glamourous option but I LOVE the simplicity of this look especially when it’s themed with an elegant bun.

Here are some of my favourite pieces at the moment:

Right now, I think I will go for a mixture of both but that changes every time I pop on Pinterest so who knows. 🙂

Happy planning to all my fellow brides-to-be!

Perfect Ways To Wear A Pinafore This Season

If there’s one hero piece you’ll reach for this Autumn, it’s a pinafore dress. For a Blair Waldorf inspired look that’s trending right now, coordinate your pinafore dress with a pussy-bow blouse and knee-high boots.

To beat the chill in style, pair your pinafore dress with a rollneck or knitwear that’s not too chunky.
