Shine Bright Like a Diamond

For the magpies among us there is no better time to get your glitz on than Christmas! You can sparkle and sequin to your heart’s content. In fact, the more the merrier!

Even for the more demure out there, the festive season always manages to ignite a glitz frenzy!

Getting into the spirit of the season, we take a look at some of the prettiest, sparkliest looks on the highstreet right now!
Kicking off with a cracker from River Island, this light pink embellished dress with crop top and skirt effect, is just so pretty. It’s got lots of glitz, with a subtle 1920’s feel, yet is not over the top. Pair it with some nude heels, a simple clutch bag and let the dress do the sparkling.

We majorly heart this cute, cropped, sequin, open back top from Topshop.  Pair it with a high waisted black pencil skirt, and pop on a simple black blazer and this is a great look. The key with sequins is not to over do your look, one key ‘sparkly’ piece is sufficient! The open back on this top gives it that extra wow factor.

Not for the faint hearted this total showstopper also from Topshop is glam, glam, glam. Keep everything else simple, and pop on some killer black heels to hit the tiles in this number. This also comes in a pencil skirt, so you get the wow factor, but it’s not quite as dramatic. Pair the skirt with a simple black vest for maximum effect!

For those who don’t want to go all out with sparkle, this sequin shoulder jumper from Oasis, is understated yet perfect to inject some day time glow into your look but with out being over the top. This is such a cute jumper and would look great worn with some skinny jeans and boots.

From one extreme to the other, this uber glam, super sexy, ultra party dress from Oasis is totally stunning. The slightly longer knee length gives it that extra touch of elegance. Team this with nude heels and simple pearls and watch those heads turn!!

This gold sequin and black dress from Ted Baker  is utterly festive & fabulous. What’s great about this dress is the shape, it’s not clingy and so is ideal for any of us who are a little conscious of our wobbly bits. The cut of the dress looks really high end, plus the black trimming along the bottom really adds to it. Pair it with black heels, a black clutch and keep your accessories to an absolute minimum.
