Outfit Diaries: Black Tie Wedding
Last weekend my hubby and I went to his cousins wedding in the stunning Tankardstown House. What a venue, I love it there! We had such a great day and the sun shone all day on the gorgeous couple.ย I’ve had lots of emails about what I wore, as I know lots of you fellow pregnant ladies have weddings coming up, so I thought a blog post was the best idea ๐
This is not a maternity dress, so if you aren’t pregnant you can keep reading too ๐ ย The dress is a multi wrap dress by Ethan & Eliza, they come in over 20 different colours and there are at least 20 different ways you can wear them making them an ideal buy for bridesmaids too. But it was perfect for me and my 33 week bump; so so comfy and we all know at this stage of pregnancy that is key!!
I love that I will be able to wear this again post pregnancy and make it look totally different, I think if i was wearing it again, I’d try out the one shoulder way to wear it.
All the available colours and ways to wear the dress
The colour shade I went for is called ‘Azelea’ and I just fell in love with it the moment I saw it. You all know me by now and I know that I love pink!!! It’s just one of my colours and suits me so much better than dark shades or pastels. Plus I do not abide by the notion that as a pregnant woman I should wear dark colours to ‘flatter me’ – After all I am not attempting to hide my bump. If you want to wear bright colours, by all means go for it!
I think this shade of pink looks great with silver so I opted for silver heels (very low and I only lasted a few hours before changing into my flat River Island sandals), an embellished silver clutch and some drop style silver earrings.
