Occasion Wear: The Suit

Hi ladies

We know here at Style fairy HQ that you ladies are always on the hunt for occasion wear ideas; whether it is a christening, upcoming communion or confirmation or a wedding. With that I’m mind, I have complied a new occasion wear post… But with a focus on suits! Or co-ords as they’re called! All of us want something that bit different for a special occasion and a suit is the perfect alternative to a dress or skirt. I personally am a huge fan! 

The perfectly tailored suit strikes the perfect balance between being glamorous, elegant, chic and sexy too. Not to mention, bang on trend right now too.

How to Style a Suit 

Over Christmas I wore a black tuxedo suit from ASOS , I wore just a lace bralet underneath and finished the look with a belt around the waist (which helps create a more feminine silhouette by cinching you in at your waist). I opted for gold heels a to add some glam.

The only thing you always need to be cautious about when styling a suit is to make sure it doesn’t look like a work suit!

But with the right styling, a suit is one of my all time favourite looks! Some ideas to style your suit into the perfect look: 

• Opt for statement heels – gold or leopard print, pink or even zebra can look so chic styled with a solid block coloured suit
• Wear a Lace bralet and add a belt 
• Wear a silk or satin coloured came underneath
• Add some statement earrings 
• Add a pop of colour with a statement clutch bag
