I am absolutely thrilled to announce we are shortlisted for the Blog Awards Ireland Whoooooooooooohoooooo!!
We are shortlisted in two categories; Best Fashion Blog and Best Blog Post. I am speechless and feel so so honoured. The Style Fairy is not even two years old so it is such a privilege to be considered in both categories.
To say the blog is my whole life is probably even an understatement, I put everything I have into it, it is my full time career and the only way I can describe it is to say it’s like my baby (well until the real style fairy baby comes along… hahaha), it has been amazing watching it grow from no followers in December 2013 (I will never forget that launch day and I was terrified) to now where we get in excess of 100,000 unique views every single month.
Last year, The Style Fairy won ‘Best Fashion Blog’, at that stage, it wasn’t even a year old so it was such an incredibly honour. It would truly be a dream come true to win for a second year in a row. Public voting officially open today, so it would really mean everything to me, if you could spare a few moments and vote for me. It only takes two seconds 🙂

Our second nomination is for ‘Best Blog Post’ and I have to admit, I am really touched by this one. The blog post that is shortlisted in this category is a post I wrote in May and it is called ‘A Personal Note’ (read it HERE). In this post, I shared the exciting news of my pregnancy, I think I was about 16 weeks when I wrote it and was going through a pretty tough time, I also shared my journey living with Type One Diabetes and wearing an insulin pump. The post was read by over 160,000 people, and I will never, ever forget the reaction. The amount of emails I received was so touching. If you could spare a few moments to vote for me in this category, it would be so so appreciated.

How the awards work?

So, as I mentioned public voting opened today and will stay open for two weeks (until 21st Sept). Then a finalists list will be drawn up and the winners will be announced at a ceremony in Dublin in October.
