National Portrait Week
This week, I was invited by Canon Ireland to get my portrait shot by award winning photograher Dermot Byrneย to celebrate the launch of National Portrait Week, all in aid of LauraLynn Ireland.
Organised by the Irish Professional Photographers Association (IPPA) and sponsored by Canon Ireland, National Portrait Week takes place nationwide from 28th March โ 6 April 2015.
Throughout the week, members of the public can donate โฌ25 to LauraLynn and in return they will receive an individual mini portrait session and a desktop print (7x5in) from an IPPA photographer. It’s a really fun idea and a brilliant way to support the work of an incredibly vital charity.
LauraLynn provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families by providing home support, respite, crisis and end-of-life care. Tragically, there are over 3,800 children living in Ireland with life limiting conditions and 350 of these children pass away each year, most within their first year of life.
How to get involved?
To take part all you need to do is purchase your โฌ25 euro voucher from LauraLynn (Visit here) ย or make an appointment with a participating photographer in your area (Here’s the list)
For more information on how you can support LauraLynn log on to www.lauralynn.ie.
I’d highly recommend it, not only are you supporting such a great charity but you get a great portrait done of you, a family member or your children.
